Athletes marketing

Athletes today are making a lot of money. As if that wasn’t enough. Now they also have to have their own line of apparel, gear, and accessories. Most of the athletes though that do this, are basketball players. Not to offend anyone, but I can’t stand it. I think it’s a waste of time for a bunch a boring shit.
           It is pretty obvious what I do love. And that’s Lacrosse. Even though Lacrosse is not a big sport, it’s growing rapidly. They are actually starting to get a few very great and famous players. The two that are the best known are both from Baltimore, and both have their own line of apparel, gear, and accessories. These two great athletes are Kyle Harrison and Paul Rabil. The difference between these two players though, is they’re with different companies.
         Kyle Harrison has is signed with STX, an old school, but still great company. His line is called the K18 line, because obviously his first name is kyle, and he’s number eighteen. He has a very simple line that includes a shaft, head, chest and elbow pads, gloves, and apparel. His line is more on the lower end, and geared to a more beginner player, which is a little sad. The only this in his line that appeals to me is the head and apparel.

         Paul Rabil on the other hand, is signed with Warrior. His line includes all the same stuff. His line only offers a limited time offer on the gloves. So if you don’t  but them right away you’re screwed. The nicer part is, he offers cleats, a universal head, and a more expert level gear selection witch makes it more appealing. I would rather have Rabil’s gear any day. It’s much nicer, and cooler looking.

Both of these players use this to their advantage. Being sponsored by the companies gives them many perks. They both get free gear, clothing, shoes, accessories, and whatever else the company. The main difference between these two, is it seems like Paul Rabil got the better deal. They offer more products, and seem to be more stylish and stronger.

Music artists

I have a wide variety of music on my phone. I have anywhere from hip/hop to alternative to rock. Probably my favorite of all of them is rock. It gets me pumped for games and I just genuinely enjoy it. The problem with most rock bands is that they're sell outs. which is why I like to listen to older rock music from like 2005 or 2010. not too old but old enough to take me out of the mainstream of things.

My favorite band is probably rise against. i don't know what it is exactly, but I just really love their music. Probably my favorite song by them is satellite and . Just the beat alone I love. But the words make the song a whole which is why I absolutely love it. some songs that's the only reason I buy them. But this one I just love all together.

This is the only band I choose to support and actually buy their music. I like them that much. almost every song on a album I love so i don't mind spending the money. hip/hop I refuse to spend money on because I don't consider them real bans, but there's a couple songs where I love the beat so I'll download it.

Honestly, hip/hop artists aren't bands in  my opinion. and to me, only real music comes from actual bands. only one person contributes to hip/hop. rock requires the whole band to synchronize with each other and become a rel band. This is where real music comes from. These bands are a lot less likely to sell out to the big companies then a hip/hop artist. They sell out almost immediately to the big companies. That's why to me rock is a better form of music because it's real music.

News

Honestly, I NEVER watch the news. The only time I ever watch it, is when I'm just too lazy to change the channel or my parents put it on. It just doesn't interest me. They talk about too much crap that doesn't pertain to me. The only things I ever pay attention to is the weather, or if there's a story so bad, it really catches my attention,but that doesn't really happen.
Probably the only one that sorta interested me when i was skimming through the names, was Bill O'Rielly. He gave all the news to you, and gave it to you in a very simple way so that everyone could understand, but not so simple, that it makes you feel stupid. Most people either talk like your the stupidest people ever, or are talking like they're better then you.

I didn't care for nancy grace so much. She seemed very rude and bias. she was always interrupting her guests, and trying to one up them. She always wanted to have the upper hand in the conversation, and send very rude. she seems as if you she's trying to make you take her opinion on the stories.

Evan after watching these shows and giving them a try, I still couldn't stand them. News stories like these are still bias. No matter who you watch or what is is, there's always bias people who either try and persuade you to take their opinion, or make you think one way. i'd rather just get the updates of actual news to my phone about accidents or dangerous situations that occurred. Those are really the only things news offer to me other then the weather. Watching news is just so boring to me. If it weren't for writing this blog, i would've never watched them.

Reality TV

Reality TV only appeals to a certain number of viewers. The problem with most reality TV shows, is that they start out non scripted,but almost always end up being scripted. The actors sellout to the companies because they're too worried about the money. Yes money is really nice, but not nice enough to where you should sell out to the big companies. That's the worst part.
Most people watch reality TV to see what their reality is about, but after the first season or two, they start to get scripted little by little.  The best reality TV show to me, is Duck Dynasty. It's the only one that I watch, and probably will watch. Who doesn't love to watch a bunch of rednecks to stupid shit. Nobody, that's who.
To me, shows like 16 and pregnant and teen mom are just stupid. It's like america praises the dumb ass girls for getting knocked up. If you're that stupid to not wear a condom, then you shouldn't be allowed to be on a TV show. America is going downhill with with shows like this.
Reality TV is just so boring. I would much rather watch a cartoon then them. I really don't care what it's like to be a house wife, or a pregnant teenager. I wanna see someone do something stupid or funny. That' the only reason I like Duck Dynasty.
Reality TV gives too much attention to idiotic people and morons.  It makes America seem like it's just a bunch of trashy people who don't care. We have more class then that and TV make us look like complete trash. They should show them more on interesting things then pregnant teenagers. It's stupid.
Show that aren't funny or exciting shouldn't be on TV anymore. They're just a waste of everyone's time. If TV networks would play better shows, they'd have more people watching them.

To me, the local newspapers like the Dundalk eagle have a better chance of lasing then any big time paper. The local papers give use full information and news to it's readers. I know me personally, I'd rather hear about something that happened in my town then something that happened 5 towns over. More people would rather read about something local and something that they can relate to then something that they have no clue where it is.
The local papers give information about what goes on in that specific town, and about the people in it. To me, the only paper i wanna even look at would be the eagle. The only reason I care is because I wanna see who all got in it for the local sports, and sometimes I may even be in it for high school. Athletes love to read about and see themselves in the paper. It's the only reason they look at it at times.
Honestly, if your in Dundalk, you don't give a shit about what goes on in Milford mill, or Woodlawn, or Hereford, or any of those places. We only care about what's going on in our general town/ area. Local papers have the upper hand because the news they print is going to the people in a small are, and that's all they wanna read about. Big newspaper companies have to large of an area to cover and a lot of times have useless crap in it.
Bigger newspaper companies are also more bias. They try to force their opinion on people sometimes. whether it's politics, sports, or even schools, they want us to think like them. the local newspaper doesn't care as much, but they'll inform you more on what topics would suite you best in the community. All together, the local newspaper are so much more informative and helpful to the people they publish to.

Lacrosse Magazine

For lacrosse addicts like me,the Lacrosse magazine, is probably their favorite. It gives you in game photos of the games, and tells you who the the teams are, who the players are, and who won. Most of the pictures in the magazine are of actual players, but in the very front they have photos of young lacrosse players wearing full pads, promoting that companies pads. These are only for boys. The magazine is mostly geared toward boys. Boys are the most prominent ones who really care about it. Plus in my personal opinion and others, boys lacrosse is a lot more interesting, and just seems like more fun so we're more willing to buy it for that. The magazine also has to add in a lot of advertisements. Unfortunately, lacrosse isn't as big as baseball or football, so they have to get a lot of outside sponsors to pay for most of the costs, or else it would probably be pretty expensive. But most of the adds are actually pretty cool offering all kinds of lacrosse related phone cases, t-shirts, and other stuff, which is hard to find. Right before this, is the best part of the magazine. It offers step by step drills, pointers, tips, and all kinds of stuff. It does offer this for boys and girls, but not every one has a girls one. it gives great advice, and helps you to become an all around better player. During the collage season, if your as big as me, you love looking at it for all stats, rankings, and important facts. this magazine id great for lacrosse players of all ages. It offers a wide variety of of advice, and can help just about anyone. Unfortunately, sorry girls, but this might be the best one for you, but it is great for boys since it's more geared toward them.
